- Misadjusted park and neutral position switch - Park and neutral position switch harness is open or shorted - Park and neutral position switch poor electricl connection - Faulty park and neutral position switch

When Detected

The signal of the park/neutral position (PNP) switch is not changed in the process of engine starting and driving.

Description

When the shift lever position is P (A/T models only) or N, park/neutral position (PNP) switch is ON. ECM detects the position because the continuity of the line (the ON signal) exists.
